User cannot edit catalog items in Catalog Builder despite having correct role Issue A user is unable to edit catalog items they own via the Catalog Builder, despite having the roles catalog_builder_developer and catalog_builder_editor assigned. The user receives an 'You are not authorized to edit this item' error when attempting to edit the item. The issue is reproducible on the instance by impersonating the user and following specific steps to access the catalog items. Release All Releases Cause 1. The user is blocked from editing catalog items due to being included in the 'Not Available For' list of the 'Catalog Item Builder' record producer, which overrides role-based access and ownership permissions. 2. The 'Not Available For' criteria were custom-added to the instance and not part of the default configuration, causing the authorization conflict. Resolution 1. Identify the record producer named 'Catalog Item Builder' associated with the Catalog Builder. 2. Review the 'Not Available For' list configured for this record producer. 3. Remove the user criteria from the 'Not Available For' list that blocks the user from accessing the editor. 4. Verify that the user can now edit the catalog item after the criteria are removed.
