Catalog item repeatedly stuck in Publishing with duplicate Reviewed versions after failed checkout and rollback Issue A Service Catalog item managed through Catalog Builder is repeatedly becoming stuck in an inconsistent checkout and publishing state. The catalog item has an active/live record stuck in Publishing, marked as checked out, and two versions in Reviewed status. No Undo Checkout or Revert action is available, and the Reviewed versions cannot be deleted due to the checked-out state of the live item. Reverting an update set temporarily restored access to the catalog item, but republishing caused the same failure to recur. Release All Releases Cause The scheduled job 'sc_catalog_queue events process' was missing from the instance, preventing the processing of catalog publishing events. This absence caused the catalog item to remain stuck in an inconsistent state during checkout and publishing. Resolution 1. Identify that the scheduled job 'sc_catalog_queue events process' (sys_id: c0fdff05ff0031109e5a751b03cb1422) is missing from the instance. This job is responsible for processing events queued to sc_catalog_queue during catalog publishing. 2. Import the missing scheduled job 'sc_catalog_queue events process' with the correct configuration to ensure it processes events from sc_catalog_queue at regular intervals. 3. Verify that the catalog item can now be checked out and published successfully without recurring failures.
