It leaves the role to the user with "pending approval" state. This is allowing the users to see record producers which require the role but giving an error when submit. Release NA Resolution he system is designed to change the role's status to "pending_approval" rather than completely removing the role from the user's profile. This state is equivalent to the role being inactive. The record will be there but its not considered active and the user won't have privileges of workplace user.If the user later satisfies the criteria again, the same role record is moved back to an "active" state. This is the expected behavior of the Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) application , it deactivates role assignments rather than deleting them.1. When a user ceases to satisfy a client role rule's criteria, the role assignment framework inactivates the existing sys_user_has_role record by setting its state to pending_approval.2. pending_approval is equivalent to an inactive state — the user does not hold the role. Role evaluation grants a role only when the assignment state is active.3. When the user satisfies the criteria again, the same record is moved back to active. No new record is created. We have raised a document request for the same and it will be documented in Servicenow.com/docs/ as soon as it is Published.
