Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio is not working Request failed with status 401 Issue Problem It is not possible to use the Now Assist skill in ServiceNow Studio. The process fails and displays the following error message:

To reproduce the issue: 1. Open ServiceNow Studio 2. Create an App with "Now Assist" 3. Observe that the "Now Assist" fails while creating a new app scope.

Cause Root Cause The 401 error occurred due to the "Enforce token restrictions" setting on the oauth_entity record being incorrectly set to true, which prevented the Build Agent from authenticating properly. This setting needed to be adjusted to false to restore functionality.

Resolution Steps to Resolve 1. Confirm the "Enforce token restrictions" setting on the "Build Agent OAuth Grant" oauth_entity record is set to false. 2. Test the Build Agent again to ensure the issue is resolved.
