The flow execution may show that the approval action completed or was skipped without producing an approval request. Release Not release specific. Cause The Ask for Approval action evaluates its configured approver source when the action runs. If the field or data pill used to determine the approver is empty at that time, the action has no approver from which to create an approval record. Populating the source field later does not cause the already completed approval action to run again. Resolution Open the affected flow execution.Identify the date and time when the Ask for Approval action ran.Review the action configuration to determine which field or data pill supplies the approver.Verify the value of that field at the time the approval action executed.Review the record audit history to determine whether the approver source was populated after the action completed.Update the process so the required approver information is available before the Ask for Approval action runs. If another flow, Business Rule, integration, or automation populates the approver source, ensure that operation completes before the approval action evaluates the record.
