Catalog Admin Cannot View Item Diagnostics HistoryIssue Users with the catalog_admin role are unable to view detailed deviation information from Item Diagnostics Results, despite documentation indicating catalog_admin users can access Item Diagnostics Results. Symptoms Item Diagnostics Results are visible to catalog_admin users.Detailed diagnostic history information is not displayed when selecting deviation details.Direct access to diagnostics_history records results in security access errors for catalog_admin users.Admin users can access the same diagnostic history information without issue. Facts The behavior was reproduced in an out-of-box instance. No table-level read ACL exists on diagnostics_history out of box.Field-level ACLs on diagnostics_history include catalog_admin.Adding a table-level read ACL on diagnostics_history allows catalog_admin users to view the diagnostic history records. The issue affects access to diagnostics_history records rather than diagnostics_result records. Release Yokohama Cause The diagnostics_history table does not have an out-of-box table-level read ACL that permits catalog_admin access. As a result, catalog_admin users can view Item Diagnostics Results but cannot access the associated diagnostics history records. Resolution Create a table-level read ACL on the diagnostics_history table and include the admin and catalog_admin roles. After the ACL is added, catalog_admin users can access the diagnostic history details associated with Item Diagnostics Results.
