Asset Missing from Work Order Lookup Due to Account DependencyIssue A hardware asset with a valid install status does not appear in the Asset reference field lookup on a Work Order. Other assets with the same class and install status remain selectable. Symptoms The affected asset does not appear in the Asset lookup on the Work Order form.Other assets with the same class and install status appear correctly. The affected asset appears in the Asset lookup on a Work Order Task.No reference qualifier is configured directly on the Work Order Asset dictionary record.Removing the sysparm_dependent parameter from the reference lookup URL allows the asset to appear. Facts The affected record is a hardware asset from the alm_hardware table. The issue is specific to the Asset reference field on the Work Order form.A dictionary override is configured for the Work Order Asset field. The dictionary override contains a dependent field configuration. The dependency compares the asset Account value with the Work Order Account value. The affected asset had no Account value populated. Release Zurich Cause The asset was excluded by a dependent field configuration in the dictionary override for the Work Order Asset field. Because the Account field on the asset was empty, it did not match the Account value on the Work Order and was filtered out of the reference lookup. Resolution Populate the Account field on the affected asset with the appropriate value so that it matches the Account on the Work Order. Save the asset and test the Asset reference lookup again. If the asset remains unavailable, review the dictionary override and its dependent field configuration to verify which field values must match between the asset and the Work Order.
