The user holds a role that is permitted to execute the KB generation skill. This role is defined in the Define access step of the skill configuration, and the default role is itil. 2. The user satisfies the Can contribute User Criteria of the Knowledge Base, which is referenced by the system property glide.knowman.task_kb (sys_id=50aef493ff4131003f07ffffffffffd3). If either condition evaluates to false, the UI Action condition returns false and the button is hidden, even when the skill itself is active. Resolution Review the following configuration for the affected user: Confirm that the user holds the role required to execute the KB generation skill. By default, this is the itil role, which is configured in the Define access step of the skill. The user must have Contribute rights to a knowledge base. When the plugin com.snc.incident.knowledge (KCS Integration for Incident Management) is active:-> The system checks whether there is at least one knowledge base to which the user has Contribute rights. When the above plugin is inactive and glide.knowman.submission.workflow is not set to true:-> Confirm that the user satisfies the Can contribute User Criteria of the Knowledge Base which is referenced by the system property glide.knowman.task_kb (sys_id=50aef493ff4131003f07ffffffffffd3). (Default - sys_id=dfc19531bf2021003f07e2c1ac0739ab - "Knowledge")Finally, when the plugin is inactive and glide.knowman.submission.workflow is enabled: -> In this case, the process creates a Knowledge Submission (kb_submission) rather than the KB article itself, so Contribute rights to a knowledge base are not checked. For details on Knowledge Submissions, please refer to the document below.Document : Create a knowledge article from an incident Note that in the default configuration the Create Knowledge button is available when the Incident is in the Resolved or Closed state.
