Assignment rules in Vulnerability Response are intended for finding tables like sn_vul_app_vulnerable_item (AVIT), not for Configuration Item tables such as sn_vul_app_scanned_application. The assignment_group field on sn_vul_app_scanned_application is populated only if the third-party scanner sends an assignment_group value in its payload. The ingestion code writes this value to the record if the field is empty, but there is no ServiceNow logic or rule to compute or update it. If the scanner does not include this field, the value remains empty unless set manually. The customer can customise the sys_script_include: WizApplicationListProcessor to populate assignment_group. Review the mentioned script to populate 'appObj' with the assignment_group value. Note: This is a custom integration, and the customer is responsible for the code.
