According to the documentation, the EPSS model should generate probability scores between 0 and 1 (0% to 100%). Based on ServiceNow documentation, The Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS) is a data-driven effort for estimating the likelihood (probability) that a software vulnerability will be exploited in the wild. The EPSS model produces a probability score between 0 and 1 (0 and 100%). The higher the score, the greater the probability that a vulnerability will be exploited. Reviewed the native integration in sn_vul_epss_import table and the payload from sn_vul_ds_import_q_entry table. Found the data is coming properly for EPSS score ======================{"cve": "CVE-2023-45288","epss": "0.919690000","percentile": "0.998100000","date": "2026-08-10"},====================== However, the final data presented in he EPSS score is incorrect. Servicenow has a a priority based configuration for stamping the values in the NVD entry table. If Wiz has higher priority than EPSS, then Wiz will stamp the EPSS score.https://www.servicenow.com/docs/r/security-management/vulnerability-response/cvd-overview.html The development team identified that the incorrect EPSS scores were not from the native EPSS integration but were being updated by the WIZ integration, which had a higher priority for writing to the `epss_score` field. Analysis of the WIZ integration payload for CVE-2023-45288 confirmed it was sending `"epssProbability": 92`, which was then written to the `epss_score` field, overwriting the correct value of 0.92 from the EPSS integration.
