The updates are triggered by the 'Hardware Asset Receiving' notification, that sends an email to the "Reserved For" User when a hardware asset status is changed to 'In Transit'. Remaining conditions that can trigger the email can be verified in the notification conditions. Clicking the Receive asset link in the email by the user loads the assets assigned through the employee portal (esc?id=my_assets) and the widget "Service Portal widget". When an employee clicks the "Receive" button, the system automatically updates the asset fields. The asset widget displays all assets assigned to the logged-in employee and is available to all users who have assets in their assignment. 1. Review 'Hardware Asset Receiving' notification to determine if the end-user asset-receiving process is a business requirement.
