The root cause is the absence of a "Check Activity closure" business rule on the Catalog Task (sc_task) table. When an HR Task is closed, an out-of-the-box business rule named "Check Activity closure" on the `sn_hr_core_task` table fires an event that immediately triggers the Lifecycle Event activity set to re-evaluate and mark the corresponding activity as complete. This business rule does not exist for the Catalog Task (`sc_task`) table. Therefore, when an activity is configured against an `sc_task`, there is no event to trigger an immediate re-evaluation upon task closure. Instead, the activity's status is only updated during the activity set's regular polling cycle. By default, this polling interval is 4 hours, which explains the delay observed.
