Fields that were already read-only before upgrade remain read-only, but admins cannot uncheck it to make them editable again.Fields that need to be made read-only cannot be changed either, since the checkbox does not respond to clicks.This affects every field's dictionary entry, not just one specific field. The legacy checkbox is intentionally locked in the UI after this change — it is kept visible only for backward compatibility so existing behavior isn't lost, but it is no longer meant to be edited directly. The banner is telling you, correctly, that read-only status now needs to be managed through the new Read only option field instead. If the new "Read only option" field was never added to the Form Layout of the Dictionary Entry form, follow the below steps: Open Dictionary Entry record for the intended field and switch to advanced viewRight-click the form header banner.Select Configure > Form Layout.In the slushbucket, locate Read only option (read_only_option) in the Available column.Move it into the Selected column, positioning it near related fields such as Mandatory/Display/Active.Click Save, now the field should be visible.
