Although the API can return tag information, the metadata returned for different GCP resource types may not always contain the information required to reliably associate the tags with the corresponding cmdb_ci_cmp_resource Generic Resource record created by SG-GCP. To avoid incorrect tag associations or partial payload records when a corresponding Generic Resource record is not available in CMDB, SG-GCP uses an explicitly defined list of generic resource types that have been tested and validated for tag processing. As a result, adding a resource type to the whitelist does not automatically enable tag discovery for that resource type. For additional resource types that are successfully discovered through the whitelist but require tag discovery, an Enhancement Request should be raised for Product Management review. The enhancement request should include: The GCP resource types for which tag discovery is required.Confirmation that the resource types are successfully discovered through the Service Graph Resource Inclusion Whitelist.Examples of tags present on the GCP resources that are not being populated in ServiceNow. Product Management can review the requirement, and the supported Generic Resource types for OOB tag discovery can be evaluated and updated as appropriate.
