Restrictions on Adding Stories and CWM Tasks for Unassigned Users in Project Phases and Project Tasks Description If Collaborative Work Management is upgraded to 10.2.3 or Collaborative Work Management – Advanced is upgraded to 2.0.9, users will be unable to attach Stories or CWM Tasks to a Project Phase, Project Task, or Project Agile Phase from Project Workspace (PW), Collaborative Workspace Management (CWM), or Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP) unless they meet one of the following conditions :

Assigned To Resource Assignee Group Resource Assignee This restriction applies when creating child Stories or CWM Tasks under a Project Phase or Project Task.

Steps to Reproduce

Upgrade Collaborative Work Management to 10.2.3 or Collaborative Work Management – Advanced to 2.0.9, Create a Project Phase , Project Task, or Project Agile Phase. In Collaborative Work Management (CWM) , Project Workspace (PW), or (Enterprise Agile Planning) EAP, attempt to create a child Story or child CWM Task under that Project Phase, Project Task, or Project Agile Phase Actual Result

If the user does not meet one of the assignment conditions listed above, they will be unable to create the child Story or child CWM Task.

Expected Result

Any user with permission to view or update the Project Task should be able to add child stories or child CWM tasks, regardless of whether they are assigned to specific phases and tasks from Project, CWM, and EAP workspaces.

Download and apply the attached update set to remove the assignment restrictions.

Assign the user or group as one of the following on the Project Phase or Project Task : Assigned To Resource Assignee Group Resource Assignee Alternatively, wait and upgrade to the Collaborative Work Management Store Release 2026 Store Release , where this restriction will be automatically removed. Download the attached update set: Update set to remove story and task restriction . Navigate to System Update Sets > Retrieved Update Sets . Click Import Update Set from XML . Click Choose File and select the update set XML file. Click Upload . The update set will appear in the Retrieved Update Sets list with a status of Loaded . Click Preview Update Set . Click Commit Update Set .
