Specifically, when a discovery_schedule record is set to active=false, the corresponding sys_trigger record retains its trigger configuration and next action timestamp. The Discovery job scheduler reads from sys_trigger to determine execution, bypassing the active flag on discovery_schedule. This results in jobs continuing to run according to their original production schedule even though the schedule is marked inactive.
