Unable to Publish Comments via Service Portal; Only Work Notes Are Saved Issue On the Service Portal, when attempting to post an update on a record, the user is only presented with Work Notes, and any updates entered are saved as Work Notes instead of customer-visible Comments. This symptom is tracked under PRB2066570. The workaround below can be used to restore Comments as the primary journal field until a permanent fix is applied. Release<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } Australia Patch 4 Cause In the Australia release, the Activity Stream receives an empty list of primary journal fields instead of the expected default values. When this occurs, the platform falls back to the table's activity field configuration to determine which journal field should be displayed by default. Because the fallback configuration prioritizes Work Notes ahead of Additional Comments, the Activity Stream selects Work Notes as the primary input field. As a result, updates entered through the Service Portal are saved as Work Notes rather than customer-visible Comments. Resolution Workaround:1. Navigate to System Properties > All Properties (sys_properties.list).2. Click New.3. Set Name to: glide.ui.<table>_activity.primary_fields (replace with the affected table name).4. Set Type to: string.5. Set Value to: comments.6. Save the record.7. Clear the instance cache by navigating to /cache.do.8. Reopen the record in the Service Portal, and verify that Additional Comments are now presented in the Activity stream.
