A couple weeks ago, we identified that a new value of ‘no status’ was added to this field on the form which we were unaware of. We thought we fixed the issue by removing it from the table it sits on, but now it is still defaulting to ‘no status’ when a project is created. Recent product enhancements introduced a "No Status" option for the Project Status field. This option allows projects to remain in an unassigned or neutral state until an appropriate status is selected by the project team. The addition of this value helps distinguish projects that have not yet been assigned a status from those intentionally marked with a defined status values. It also improves the accuracy of status tracking, reporting, and analytics by ensuring that transitions from an unset state to a defined status can be properly captured and reflected in the system. Based on the current product design, the presence of the "No Status" value and the default value of "no_status" are expected behaviors and were introduced as part of a product enhancement. This behavior is currently tracked under PRB2021806 and aligns with the intended functionality of the latest release. If you would like to restore the previous behavior where newly created projects defaulted to a green status, you can update the Dictionary Override configuration and change the Default Value from "no_status" to "green" (or another status value that aligns with your organization's requirements).
