Review of the lookup URL identified that the sysparm_dependent parameter was filtering the record. Removing the dependent parameter from the lookup URL caused the asset to appear in search results. Investigation identified a dictionary override on the Work Order Asset field. The dictionary override contained a dependent field configuration that compared the asset Account value against the Work Order Account value. The affected asset did not have an Account value populated. The asset was created directly in the instance and was not imported from another source.
