This would be expected behavior since the "Expected start" and or "Due date" is null on that particular task type. (mentioned in KB3140598 -Collaborative Work Management not displaying the start date or end date in the My work list view These items would be included in the list view regards of the time range provided, since the date value is null for either one of these fields the so task would appear when enabled.
