The DLP Incident table does not extend the Task table, which means SLAs cannot be directly attached to DLP Incident records — the SLA engine in ServiceNow works with tables that extend Task. ii. To enable SLA tracking for DLP Incidents, we have a separate table called DLP SLA Tasks that extends the Task table. When a DLP Incident is created, a corresponding DLP SLA Task record is automatically created and linked to it. Since DLP SLA Task extends Task, it is essentially a Task record and is fully compatible with the SLA engine. The SLA Definitions are configured against this DLP SLA Task table, and when conditions are met, the engine creates task_sla records against the DLP SLA Task — just like it would for any other Task-based record such as an Incident, Case, or Change Request. iii. To monitor SLA metrics (elapsed time, breach status, pause/resume state, etc.) for a DLP Incident, you would look at the task_sla records associated with its corresponding DLP SLA Task. The task_sla table is the single place where all SLA measurement data is tracked, regardless of whether the underlying task is an Incident, Case, or in this case, a DLP SLA Task.
