User goes to the VTB board initially and it loads without issue. Adjusts the VTB to show full card details. Upon next time going to the VTB an error will be displayed. To fix, user preferences for the user for vtb.board need to be deleted. The issue was caused by the Parent.Requested for [Requested Item] field (parent.requested_for), which is included in the Default form view for the Catalog Task (sc_task) table. Since there is no dedicated VTB form view for sc_task, Visual Task Board falls back to using the Default form view. When Show Compact Cards is disabled, VTB retrieves the complete set of fields from the form view. If a Catalog Task contains an empty or invalid parent reference, the parent.requested_for field cannot be resolved, causing the board load request to fail and return a HTTP 500 error. However, In compact mode only the minimal required fields are requested, which is why compact mode loads fine. Visual Task Board will use this dedicated view, and the standard Catalog Task form will remain unchanged for all users. 2. Alternative: Remove Parent.Requested for [Requested Item] and Request Item.Request from the Default form view (Configure → Form Layout). Please note that this modifies the Default form view for all users.
