When the widget was swapped to the OOB SC Catalog Item, the item was submitted and redirected significantly faster. Check if a customized 'SC Catalog Item is being used, and swap with the latest OOB version. 2. Check the updated by field on the OOB version and the customized version. If the OOB SC Catalog Item has a more current updated date, the customized version should be re-cloned using the latest OOB version, and adding any customizations back on top. From there, it can be debugged further by the customized version owning team.
