Reproduced Steps Confirm target field (for example, change Resolution Code to not Read Only field) is not marked as Read Only in the data dictionary. Create a Data Management Update Job to update the field with "Run business rules and engines" checked (default setting). Run the Data Management Update Job and verify that State shows "Completed". Inspect the target record and confirm the field value was not updated despite the job completion status. If a Data Policy requires certain fields to be mandatory under specific conditions, and those fields are not included in the update job, the Data Policy exception prevents the entire update. The system does not display the error in the user interface, this issue has been reported in PRB2039313. In the example case, a Data Policy was configured to make "Close notes" mandatory when Resolution Code is set to "Canceled". When updating a field that triggers a Data Policy condition, populate all fields marked as mandatory under that condition in the same update job. For the example case, the corrected approach is to issue a Data Management Update Job that updates both the Resolution Code field and the Close notes field together, satisfying the Data Policy requirement.
