The "Approval Info Record" widget is used by the newer approval_details portal page. The widget's reject handler does not persist the entered comment back to the approval record, so rejection comments are silently dropped. The defect is specific to this widget; the legacy "Approval Info" widget is unaffected. Workaround: Disable the "Approval Details" page route map (sp_page_route_map record) on the affected instance. Navigate to Service Portal > Page Route Maps (table sp_page_route_map).Locate the page route map record with Route From as approval and Route To as approval_details.Set it to inactive (disable it).Verify that rejecting an approval with comments now posts the comments correctly to the sysapproval_approver record.
