Provisioning read only access to SBOM Workspace and how to list business application for processed SBOMs Issue <!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } Problem1. How to provide read-only access to the SBOM workspace for specific users. Currently, admins have full access to SBOM workspace.2. Once the SBOMs are ingested and processed, we can see the ingestion status in the BOM queue, however we don't have any provision to list the business application to which the SBOM was ingested. The field name discovered application was giving empty record. We need to have the business application which was selected when the SBOM was ingested into ServiceNow.Steps to reproduce: Login to Instance> Workspace> SBOM Workspace. Release<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } Not release specific. Currently the minimum role required for the SBOM workspace is 'sn_sbom_resp.sbom_analyst'. This role includes 'sn_sbom_core.admin' and grants access to upload BOMs. So there is no way OOB to access SBOM workspace in read-only mode.2. To view the business application for processed SBOMs:The Discovered application field in the BOM Queue and the Business application field are two separate entities in the SBOM module:Discovered application:This is an auto-discovery field that ServiceNow attempts to populate by matching SBOM component data against known CIs in the CMDB. This field may remain empty if no automatic match is found.Business application:This is the manually mapped application passed during SBOM ingestion via the businessApplicationId API parameter. This is the correct field to reference for tracking which business application an SBOM was ingested against. How to view Business Application in the SBOM WorkspaceThe Business application field is visible through the following paths:Option 1 — Via classic list view:Navigate to the "sn_sbom_component" table list viewRight-click the column header and select Configure > List LayoutAdd the Business application field to the selected columnsOption 2 — Via SBOM Workspace Components view:Navigate to SBOM Workspace > Components > Component listThe Business application column is available in this viewApply the filter Is BOM entity = true to scope results to ingested SBOMs onlyNote: There is a fixed filter set on the Components macroponent by default which may restrict visibility. This can be modified via the UI Builder experience at the path below on your instance:/now/builder/ui/edit/experience/e0b1e150438675105db453f8fab8f212/51953b34430ab9105db453f8fab8f2a5/667d8eddb94a6110f877db43e1434605/Once the filter is removed and Business application is added as a column with the Is BOM entity = true filter applied, the business application mapping for each ingested SBOM will be visible directly in the Components list.
