Service Graph Connector for AWS test connection fails with Authorization header cannot be empty (hashed with SHA-256 and encoded with Base64) in v2.13.0Issue <!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } When executing the Test Connection action for the Service Graph Connector (SGC) for AWS in version 2.13.0, the connection fails instantly with an authorization header error, despite valid AWS credentials being configured in the Connection Alias. This issue persists regardless of the correctness of the credentials. The connector currently does not check whether these fields are filled before making the API request. This is a known defect fixed via # PRB2007485 Resolution<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } Try one of the following options Option 1 #Permanent Fix: ( Recommended) - Upgrade the Service Graph Connector for AWS to version 2.14.0, which will be available in the App Store around the second week of June 2026 (tentatively June 11, 2026) Option 2 # Workaround Fix: (Try this option if you are unable to upgrade the plugin and need an immediate fix) 1. Deploy the update set file (PRB2007485.xml) attached to this KB. 2. Apply the update set to your instance: - Navigate to System Update Sets > Retrieved Update Sets - Click Import Update Set from XML and upload the file. - Open the imported update set record and click Preview Update Set, then Commit Update Set 3. After the update set is committed, set the 'replace on upgrade' flag to preserve the fix: - Navigate to System Update Sets > sys_update_xml.list (or enter 'sys_update_xml.list' in the application navigator filter). - Locate the record created by the update set applied in step 2. - Open the record and set the Replace on upgrade field to 'true'. - Save the record. ➜ This ensures the fix is not overwritten when the connector is upgraded to a future version that includes the permanent fix. 4. Return to the Service Graph Connection record and run Test Connection again to confirm the error is resolved. 5. If the Test Connection now returns an 'AccessDeniedException' from AWS Organizations (distinct from the Authorization header error), the IAM entity used by the Connection Alias does not have the required 'organizations:DescribeOrganization' permission. Work with your AWS team to grant this permission, paying particular attention to any Service Control Policies (SCPs) applied at the AWS Management account level, which can block this call even when the IAM policy appears correct.
