Each row records the article version and block version that are linked with 'article_outdated' and 'block_outdated' timestamps. For a block to render inside an outdated article version, the relationship's 'block_outdated' date must be later than the 'article_outdated' date. This is the intended platform logic. The block is shown only if it is still current at or after the moment the article is outdated. The block disappears from an outdated article's preview in these cases: 1. block_outdated' is earlier than 'article_outdated'. If the block is outdated before the article, the platform correctly suppresses it for that version. 2. No history record exists for that article-version or block pairing in 'm2m_kb_to_block_history', therefore, there is nothing for the preview to resolve. 3. Block has no content. If the KBB's Article Body is empty, nothing is displayed even when the relationship is valid. 4. User Criteria restrictions on the block. When multiple versions of a KBB are linked to one article version, the platform renders the latest available/published version of the block. To achieve that, set 'block_outdated' to a date later than 'article_outdated'. Once 'block_outdated' >= 'article_outdated', the block renders in the outdated article's preview. Steps 1. Navigate to 'm2m_kb_to_block_history' ( m2m_kb_to_block_history_list.do). 2. Filter to the affected article version and knowledge block. 3. Open the relationship row and confirm 'block_outdated' is earlier than 'article_outdated'. 4. Set 'block_outdated' to a date after 'article_outdated'. For example, if 'article_outdated' is 25/09/2025 and 'block_outdated' is 13/08/2025, change 'block_outdated' to ’01/10/2025’, which is a date after the 'article_outdated' date of 25/09/2025. 5. Save. Note: Where the relationship row does not exist at all, republish the knowledge block to generate a fresh 'm2m_kb_to_block_history' entry first, then apply the date adjustment if required. If the block body is empty, there is nothing to render regardless of dates. In that case, add content to the block and also confirm that the viewing user satisfies the block's User Criteria.
