Request Extension functionality on deferred Remediation Tasks fails if the system date format is not the default format 'YYYY-MM-dd'Issue <!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } When using the 'Request Extension' functionality for a deferred Remediation Task in the Classic UI, the state change approval was created in a 'Draft' state. The necessary approval records were not generated. This occurred despite the 'enable questionnaire to request exception' setting being false. Attempting to request an extension again resulted in an error message: 'A draft of this extension request already exists with an incomplete questionnaire', but the 'Go to questionnaire' link was non-functional. The existing deferral date (in `yyyy-MM-dd` format) was compared with the new requested date from the UI (in the user's `MM-dd-yyyy` format), resulting in a failed comparison, This prevented the approval record from moving from 'Draft' to 'In Review' state. This has been identified as a bug - PRB2022375. Resolution<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } The June 2026 release of Configuration Compliance plugin ( v 15.9.0) contains the fix for this issue. The workaround is as below:.Apply the following code modification to the function transitStateToInReview in the script include sn_vulc.StateUtil in the affected instance:if (reopenDate) {var _gdt = new GlideDateTime();_gdt.setDisplayValue(reopenDate);if (!_gdt.isValid()) _gdt.setValue(reopenDate + ' 00:00:00');if (_gdt.isValid()) reopenDate = _gdt.getDate() + '';} Set the "Replace on Upgrade" flag in sys_update_xml entry to false for this record so that this file will be replaced when the plugin is updated.
