In the example below, the Microsoft translator is not able to translate text for a specific language code:

Since 'se' is not a valid code for Microsoft translator, the translation request is not successful.

For example, the Microsoft translator provider API specifies that the target language must be one of their supported languages

Google translator API specifies the same that any request needs set to one of the language codes listed Google in Language Support .

From ServiceNow perspective, the language code is stored in sys_language table. It is not recommended to change the language code.

In the example below, the OOB code was changed from 'sv' to 'se' for Swedish language which generates the 400 error of the above screenshot.
