In some cases, a custom ACL on the pa_dashboards table for the Create operation may also be configured with a restrictive role (such as maint) that ITIL users do not have, contributing to the access failure. Navigate to sys_user_preference.list 2. Search for an existing record where Name = my_home_navigation_page and User is empty (global preference) 3. If the record exists, update the Value to: /now/platform-analytics-workspace/dashboards 4. If the record does not exist, create a new one with: - Name: my_home_navigation_page - Value: /now/platform-analytics-workspace/dashboards - User: (leave blank) 5. Save the record 6. Navigate to cache.do and clear all cache 7. Test by logging in as an affected ITIL user and verify the homepage loads correctly Fix 2 — Review the pa_dashboards ACL (if issue persists after Fix 1): 1. Navigate to sys_security_acl.list 2. Filter by Table = pa_dashboards and Operation = create 3. If a custom ACL exists with a restrictive role (e.g., maint), update it: - Replace with pa_power_user for users who need to create dashboards - Replace with pa_viewer for users who only need to view dashboards 4. Save and clear cache ▎ Note: ITIL users who only need to view dashboards require only the pa_viewer role. Do not assign pa_admin or pa_power_user to standard ITIL users.
