Either 1 or 2 1) As the request processing happens at third party side after outbound call made while Servicenow is waiting, the endpoint server admin team needs to be involved here. Their team needs to investigate further to optimize the response time for the messages such as REST that are coming from ServiceNow. It would be resolved by reducing page or batch size. You may see one of the REST messages with response status -1 and response time >175 seconds. 2) This second option is just a workaround as it still depends on how fast is the third-party to respond http requests. Our customers usually opt for option 1 For the time being, customers can potentially increase the default timeout by creating the property name - "glide.http.timeout" and value to set around 200 seconds or higher. However, we do not recommend keeping a high timeout because it could lead to delay in processing the flow executions because the wait times are longer. Set property-glide.http.outbound.max_timeout.enabled - set to 'false' glide.http.connection_timeout and glide.http.outbound.max_timeout,glide.http.timeout - adjust these system properties to higher values More information in links below: HTTP Connection Management PropertiesLong-running SOAP request properties It is highly recommend customers monitor the 'Outbound HTTP Requests' to check the outbound web service response times from outbound endpoints. Please notice that the execution time mainly depends on the dataset size and the overall volume of data being processed and sent back to ServiceNow. When the data volume is large, the process naturally takes longer to complete because each record needs to be processed and transmitted to the ServiceNow instance. That is to say, ServiceNow cannot control the response times from third-party servers. To help reduce the overall execution time, we recommend reviewing the data volume being sent in a single run and, if possible, limiting or batching the dataset so that smaller chunks of data are processed at a time.
