If a matching record is found, the method updates that existing release rather than creating a new one. This design enforces a single validation release per Product Version by default. The createRelease() method follows this logic: If a release with the same Product Version already exists in Draft state → it will update that existing release.If no matching release exists → it will create a new release. Out of box, only one validation release per Product Version is permitted. To override this behavior and force the creation of a new release even when one already exists for the same Product Version, pass the validatesVersion parameter in the method body with the value set to "false": sn_dpr.ReleaseSNC().createRelease({ validatesVersion: "false" }); This will allow a new release to be created regardless of whether an existing draft release for the same Product Version already exists.
