This is done such that a user's requests only relate to content they are also allowed to see in the source system. For this:1. Connector extract ACL for any documents from the source system2. Connectors extract a security graph from the source system (relevant groups & users & which users/groups belong to which groups). This is where the "GroupMember.Read.All" permission is required. If these permissions are not provided, for newer scoped app versions you will see a validation error while configuring the connector. In all versions, the user mappings crawl will not work and as a result non-admin users would not be able to find their documents in search and neither will the data be available for any higher level functionality like Virtual Agent for those users.
