Using Core UI reporting

ServiceNow reports are visualizations of your data that you can share with users on dashboards and service portals, export to PDF, and email. Learn how to create, run, edit, view, and share reports.

Note: On net new Australia instances and instances migrated to Platform Analytics experience , Reporting functionality is replaced with Data Visualizations. For more information, see Data visualizations in Platform Analytics . Core UI Reporting functionality is in maintenance mode and is no longer being augmented or changed. Only security fixes to this feature will be addressed.

To administer reports, reporting roles, and report sources, navigate to Reports > Administration and select the area to administer.

The ServiceNow system includes a range of predefined reports that provide data on applications and features like incident management and service catalog requests. You can also create your own reports. Add reports on dashboards and landing pages to share information across your organization.

View a Core UI report Open a report in the Report Designer to view current data in an existing report. Create a Core UI report Create Core UI reports in the legacy Report Designer tool to visualize and analyze instance data. View the Reports list View a list of reports and create reports from the Reports list. Copy a Core UI report Users who cannot create their own global reports can modify a global report, and then save a personal version of the report. Delete a Core UI report Delete Core UI reports that are no longer used. Distribute Core UI reports Distribute reports to provide business information to other users. Core UI reports on Service Portal Show existing reports in a Service Portal.
