This categorization is determined by backend processes analyzing authentication methods (e.g., Basic auth in API calls) and request parameters. This decision is done in the backend, whenever a rest API call comes to platform with the "Authorization header" starting "basic", implies its an API login using Basic auth.And then later in this flow, if the user logged in is not a "Web Service" User, then ServiceNow populates such users as "Hybrid" users.
