Although the user had this role assigned, the Elevated privilege option was enabled on the role record in the Roles table. Because of this, RPS was unable to verify the role, causing the Remote System process to fail. When the Elevated privilege option is enabled for a role, it can only be accessed by a user with an elevated security_admin role.
