By default, Project Workspace does not define the user_input field type as an editable column in the Planning tab. As a result, even though the field is editable on the classic project form, it appears read-only in the Project Workspace planning experience. Project Workspace determines editability based on an internal column type mapping, and the user_input type is not included in that mapping in the base system. Navigate to ProjectWorkspaceColumns in the Script Include list. Locate the object columnTypeMap. Add the following line: 'user_input': 'string' This change instructs Project Workspace to treat User Input fields as string fields, allowing them to be edited in the Planning tab similarly to other supported field types.
