Properties are often created manually, often by cutting/pasting from the docs or KB articles, and whitepace can also be picked up unintentioally. This shouldn't be a problem for equivalent MID Server Configuration Parameters, as those are added via a choice list, however might happen if they are added manually to the config.xml file. The user interface of the instance trims values such as this whewn displayed, so it isn't easy to confirm or spot this.
