Step 1: Install the app Go to the ServiceNow Store and search for ITOM Content Service. (Discovery Admin Workspace must already be installed on instance)Download and install the app on your instance. Step 2: Opt in to data sharing In the Discovery Admin Workspace, select one of the following options. Basic: Activates the most commonly used classifiers.Advanced: Activates a broader set of classifiers for expanded visibility.Custom: Lets you select and activate classifiers that fit your requirements directly through the Discovery Classifiers configuration. Step 3: Receive enriched content After opting in, the following occurs automatically: ServiceNow AI Librarians analyze shared anonymous datasets across all participating customers.New process classifiers and curated SNMP OIDs are built from the aggregated data.Enriched content is delivered to your instance weekly through the Continuous Delivery System (CDS).Unclassified fingerprints are normalized to publisher and product taxonomy from the SAM content library.Installed software records can be generated from the discovered running processes.
