The rule fails to trigger or returns no meaningful value, despite appearing correctly configured. Cause Dynamic Filter Options that reference a Script Include execute queries in the context of the logged-in user's session. The Script Include will only query and return data that the logged-in user has access to. If the Dynamic Filter Option is set for one table (e.g., sys_user) and the Script Include references a second table (e.g., sys_user_grmember), the user must have read access to both tables for the filter to return any meaningful value. Users without the required ACL access on any of the queried tables will see the rule fail silently. Resolution Option 1 — Grant read ACL access Provide read ACL access to all tables queried within the Script Include for the affected user or for a role that the user holds. This is the preferred approach as it preserves the Dynamic Filter Option configuration. Option 2 — Use the Script field directly If granting table access is not appropriate, remove the Dynamic Filter Option from the Assignment Rule and instead place the script logic directly in the Script field on the Assignment Rule record. Scripts in this field do not execute in the context of the logged-in user's session in the same way, avoiding the ACL limitation.
