The ServiceNow Command Line Interface (snc) is an extensible framework that enables users to communicate with a ServiceNow instance from any client machine using the command line.It is an extensible command‑line tool used to talk to a ServiceNow instance. Teams extend it to automate Discovery administration (e.g., invoking APIs to start runs, check status, query ECC Queue). Deprecation of the Discovery CLI: Earlier this year, we received an update about the deprecation of the ServiceNow CLI. Since the Discovery CLI depends on CLI metadata, this feature also needed to be deprecated and removed from the application.The primary functionality highlighted in the release notes that remains available in the application is the Command Validation Tool (CVT). Customers who need to validate commands can continue to use the CVT tool. Is this possible with CVT? Confirmed with the development team that it is not possible to run Discovery via CVT. CVT is designed solely to validate and test command outputs; it does not support triggering Discovery.Also checked for any alternative approach to address this business use case. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no supported CLI mechanism available to trigger Discovery via API following the deprecation of the Discovery CLI.
