After selecting SASL_PLAINTEXT from the Security protocol dropdown, enter the following in the Additional comment section: sasl.mechanism=PLAIN; sasl.jaas.config=org.apache.kafka.common.security.plain.PlainLoginModule required username=<username> password=<password>; For SCRAM-SHA-256, use: sasl.mechanism=SCRAM-SHA-256; sasl.jaas.config=org.apache.kafka.common.security.scram.ScramLoginModule required username=<username> password=<password>; Important Notes: Keep <username> and <password> placeholders as-is. ServiceNow automatically replaces them.Separate properties with semicolons (;).Ensure the sasl.jaas.config value ends with a semicolon. Applying these settings will resolve the issue of serviceName.
