When you first log in after the update, you’ll be prompted to review and accept the Standard Store Terms and Standard Vendor Terms. Once accepted: Apps and dependencies covered under these standard terms are automatically entitled.Customers can install and update apps directly from App Manager without returning to the Store.Partners can opt in to Standard Terms or apply their own Custom/Additional Terms.Apps without Custom/Additional Terms are ready for seamless installation. This update simplifies the application procurement process by reducing repeated steps, while maintaining compliance through ServiceNow Legal’s self-service updates. Why This Change? Previously, customers had to accept multiple Store terms for every app and dependency, creating delays and friction. The new process eliminates repetitive confirmations and ensures that a single authorised acceptance is sufficient for all standard entitlements. This approach simplifies the user journey, avoids unnecessary Store roundtrips, and accelerates app deployment. What You’ll See When you log in to the ServiceNow Store for the first time after the update, a yellow banner appears with the message:“Store’s terms and conditions need to be accepted. Click here to review and accept before any new installations or updates.” If you ignore this and open any app page, the same message will display at the top, and the Get button will not be visible: Steps to Accept Terms and Conditions Click the link in the yellow banner:“Click here to review and accept before any new installations or updates.” A pop-up appears titled Store Terms and Conditions:Review the documents: Standard Store TermStandard Vendor Term Tick the checkbox:“I have reviewed, understand, and agree to be bound by above terms and conditions.” Click Accept. Post-Acceptance Behaviour Once accepted, the Get button reappears and its state automatically changes to Ready to install for all free and paid apps included in your contract. Special Cases Apps Not in Your Contract For third-party or ServiceNow apps not covered by your contract: The Request app button will appear instead of Get. Clicking Request app initiates a purchase request workflow: Benefits of the New Process Faster installs: No repeated acceptance for every app.Seamless experience: Install and update directly from App Manager.Compliance maintained: ServiceNow Legal updates handled automatically.Flexibility: Optional Additional Terms for BU teams; partners can choose Standard or Custom Terms.
