Customer requested understanding of how the Impacted Services gets pulled based on the Primary affected CI. Steps to reproduce:1. Create a New Change request by filling Configuration Item, Planned start date and Planned end date for the Change request and other Mandatory details.2. The impacted CIs/services are populated from the logic in a number of OOB script includes as mentioned below, --> TaskUtils--> ChangeUtilsSNC--> CIUtils'glide.relationship.max_depth', 10glide.relationship.threshold', 1000 Impacted Services properties: com.snc.change_request.refresh_impacted.include_affected_cis[false] com.snc.change_request.refresh_impacted.event[true] com.snc.change_request.populate_service_offering[false] com.snc.change_request.populate_business_application[false] When the 'com.snc.change_request.refresh_impacted.include_affected_ci' property is false (as in this instance), the 'ChangeUtilsSNC' script include will use the 'getImpactedServicesFromPrimaryCI' function. This function will search the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) tree for services within a default depth of 10. In this case, none of the Configuration Items (CIs) present in the affected CI-related list will be used. Only the CI set on the form will be considered for retrieving the Impacted CIs. The best way is to control the depth of relationships using the glide.relationship.max_depth property. It is currently not defined on the instance, and taking the default value of 10. So, you can introduce the property with value = 2 or 3. This should give better output. Even better: if you only want to see Services that directly containing the CI, you can add the property with value = 1.
