Specifically, there’s been some confusion about v30.x — and we’re here to clarify. What is Vulnerability Response v30.x? The v30.x version of Vulnerability Response is part of our Innovation Lab (IL) program. It represents the first step toward Unified Security Exposure Management (USEM) — a major upgrade and transformation of how ServiceNow handles vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across infrastructure, apps, containers, and more. Innovation Lab releases are early access offerings, where ServiceNow works with customers to validate features and enhancements Important Note: The v30.x (Innovation Lab) release is currently intended only for select customers in sub-production environments. It is not meant for production use at this time. What version should I install or upgrade to? As of September 17, 2025, the latest Generally Available (GA) version of Vulnerability Response is: ServiceNow Store - Vulnerability Response Product Family ServiceNow Store - Vulnerability Response (Generally Available) Note: As of September 17, 2025, the latest version of Vulnerability Response is 26.2.2. This is the Generally Available version that customers can upgrade to today, and is not related to the Innovation Lab (v30.x) offering Due to current limitations in the ServiceNow Store, v30.x may appear as the default version in the dropdown. Please double-check the version and select the latest below 30.x to stay on the GA upgrade path. What is Unified Security Exposure Management (USEM)? USEM is our next-generation platform designed to unify and streamline how organisations manage vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and exposure risk. It brings: A modular architecture across VR, AVR, CVR, and Configuration Compliance Security Exposure Management Workspace with enhanced UX to help you quickly and effectively manage vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across your technology stack The GA release of USEM is planned for December 2025, and we’ll be sharing more details in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates — and thank you for being part of the journey.
