An extension request is a formal appeal made by a customer to postpone a scheduled upgrade, patch, or deadline due to valid reasons example: Not enough resourcesConflicts with other plansNeeding more time for testingChange freezes or maintenance windows Remember: All open patching and EOL program records (CHG) are actively monitored by a dedicated support team. You can request assistance with your Extension request by adding comments directly to change records in the Now Support portal. How can customers submit an Extension Request for Patching? Comment on the Parent CHG:Clearly state the reason for the extension and the requested new date, time, along timezone.Check the "Action Needed" box.Once you make a request, support will send a form to be filled out and returned. How Can Customers Submit an Extension Request for an Upgrade? Customers may reschedule or update the target version of their changes within the Program Record (CHGxxxxxxxx), provided the Planned Start Date is prior to the stated deadline. The system will display a message indicating:"Planned Start Date must be before [deadline]". If your preferred date falls after this deadline, you will be required to submit an Extension Request Form. This form must be completed and submitted by any customer unable to meet the upgrade deadline as outlined in the system message. To request an extension for your CHGxxxxxxxx, please comment directly on the Parent CHG. Our team will then provide you with a link to the Extension Request Form via your Main Program Record (CHGxxxxxxxx). Kindly complete and submit the form for review by the appropriate team.
