This option would normally appear under the Data Update section in the Configuration options for certain Data Visualization elements and if selected (checked) and there is a filter applying multiple elements in the chart, these elements will be displayed as separate lines in that chart. Being a fairly new feature and addition to the ServiceNow Platform, the "Show filter as separate series" option is only available in the Xanadu, Yokohama and later releases of the ServiceNow system. Thus, in order to use this feature, the instance will need to be running at least the Yokohama release version or higher. Furthermore, the instance must have version 26.0.1 if the Data Visualizations [sn_par_viz_base] application installed. Most versions of the Xanadu release are pre-packaged with version 25.3.4 of the Data Visualizations application which does not include this feature, thus a customer wanting to use this feature who is running one of these versions of Xanadu will need to upgrade to at least version 26.0.1 of this application. 2. Not all Data Visualization Types support the "Show filter as separate series" option. This is usually because this option would not make sense for all Visualization types. Thus, this option would be available for the following Data Visualization types: Time Series (All Types; Area, Scatter, Column, Spine, Line, Step) and would not be available for Data Visualization Types: Single Score Dial Gauge Bar (Horizontal, Vertical, Pareto) Pie Donut Semi-donut Pivot Table Simple List Heatmap 3. This option only works with, and thus will only appear on Data Visualizations that have no grouping configured. Any grouping that is thus configured will thus cause this option to not appear within the Configuration options for that Data Visualization, regardless of the Visualization type. 4. In order for this option to appear and be selectable, the Follow Filters option must also be selected for that Data Visualization. If the instance is running a pre-Xanadu version of the ServiceNow product, they will thus need to upgrade to Xanadu (or higher) in order to take advantage of this feature. In addition, if the user is running the Xanadu or higher release but the version of the Data Visualizations [sn_par_viz_base] application is a version previous to 26.0.1, this application will also need to be updated on that instance. It has also been noted that the Data Visualization forms make great use of caching, so after upgrading the instance and/or the Data Visualizations application, ensure to completely clear the browser cache before verifying the option then appears. If the Data Visualization is not of a type that supports this specific Data Update option, it will not be able to be used with that particular visualization. As noted, currently only Time Series type Data Visualizations supports this feature. If the option is missing because the Data Visualization includes any grouping, you could thus remove the grouping from that Data Visualization which would immediately cause the "Show filter as separate series" option to appear (as long as the Data Visualization qualifies in all other aspects to have this option appear. If the Data Visualization does not have the Follow filters option also selected, selecting (enabling) this option will also allow the Show filter as separate series to display for that Data Visualization (providing all other conditions are also fulfilled for it's use).
