MID Server stuck in "Validating" state Summary<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: #000000; } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: #000000; } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: black; } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: black; } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: black; } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: #00718F; } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: #024F69; } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: #032D42; } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: #00718f; } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: block; max-width: ; width: auto; height: auto; } } The OOB process, once we click on the Invalidate UI action the MID Server status should go Down and come up, it may take 3 to 5 minutes of time and, once the MID status turns UP then we will need to click on Validate button For any reason if we click on Validate UI action soon after clicking the Invalidate UI action before the MID Server go down and come up, the MID tends to stuck in Validating stateOnce the MID server stuck in validation state, there is no other process on the instance that we can perform, we will need to perform the below on the MID Server host machine Login to the MID Server Host machineNavigate to the Agent folder the MID Server installedNavigate to /agent/bin and identify the file contains "uninstall" and the extension .bat, and execute the file as AdministratorThe above action will stop the MID Server service (If already running), and just remove the MID Server service from the Windows Services Note: Performing the above is not going to be uninstall the complete MID Server and erase the existing configuration, all it does is to clear the Service status from the Windows Service page, hence no need of worry as the MID Configuration files will stay as same as earlier Navigate to /agent and locate the file "start.bat" and execute as Administrator, wait for it be completedVerify the Windows services page and observe the MID Service started and runningReview on the instance, the MID Server should be up and running with NO "validating" flag (Status moving to UP on instance might take approximately 5min)At this point, it may not very sure the validation completed successfully, hence we will need perform the revalidation once again, please follow below Execute "Invalidate" UI ActionWait for the MID Server status go Down and come back UP (This process might take 3min to 5min sometimes may be 10min)Once point B completed, the MID Server status comes back to UP again then click on "Validate" UI actionWait for the MID Server status go Down and come back UP (This process might take 3min to 5min sometimes may be 10min) The above process completes a successful MID Server revalidation
