There are two main ways this field is populated. Via CI Class Manager (for CIs not linked to a technical service offering) Set the Managed by Group attribute at the class level in CI Class Manager (e.g., all Linux Servers).All CIs within that class will have their Managed by Group field populated based on the value specified. This method applies only to CIs that are not associated with a technical service offering. It does not apply to subclasses. Via technical service offering (for CIs linked to a technical service offering) If a CI is linked to a technical service offering, the Managed by Group field is populated differently: The field is first synchronised from the dynamic CI group of the technical service offering. The field is then applied to all associated CIs in that dynamic CI group. This process overwrites any value previously set via CI Class Manager.
